Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process invoices into accounting ERP system by matching purchase orders, verifying coding and administering internal workflow controls for approval.
- Receives, verifies and processes employee expense reports
- Administers the vendor master file.
- Calculates and reports sales tax based on invoices.
- Pays and disburses invoices.
- Processes Company credit card statements.
- Manages the W-9 and 1099 processes.
- Reconciles vendor statements to accounting records.
- Resolves invoicing issues with purchasing and operations departments and external vendors.
- Serves as back-up for various functions within the department.
- Assists with accounting department special projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a Team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Understanding of basic accounting -bookkeeping principles
- Strong mathematical skills
Preferred Education and Experience
Associates degree in a related field plus a minimum of 1 year of accounts payable related experience. Experience with accounting software platforms required, experience related to the construction industry a plus.
