Magic Concepts - Wingstop is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Toledo, OH

Our client, Magic Concepts, is a multi-brand franchisee fast casual restaurant operator. We are family-owned with locations in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, New York, and Connecticut. Founded in 1983, the business has grown to include Wing Stop, Magic Wok, and Jersey Mike’s brands.

Exciting times are on the horizon for Magic Concepts with consistent year after year top-line growth, building the brand footprint, and now strengthening our human resources support model. We are currently seeking a Director of Human Resources to take on a crucial role in talent development and bolster our expanding team. Our workforce consists of 600 employees, including management and administrative roles with the home office in Toledo, Ohio.

The HR Director will be instrumental in shaping business outcomes through talent development. When navigating intricate challenges and seizing opportunities, the HR Director is our go-to resource. If you have a proven track record in designing and implementing training programs within the restaurant industry and are enthusiastic about driving business success through people, we'd like to hear from you!

Recruiting, Training, Payroll, Employee Relations, Compliance, Culture

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives of the company.

Oversee all aspects of the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.

Manage employee relations issues effectively, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.

Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for both new and existing employees, ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement compensation and benefits strategies that attract and retain top talent.

Implement performance management systems to monitor employee productivity, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create a welcoming and inclusive workplace for all employees.

Oversee HR administrative tasks, including payroll processing, record-keeping, and reporting.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR management and continuously seek opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of experience in human resources management
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA and labor laws
- Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management
- Proficiency in HRIS systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
- Experience with process improvement and change management initiatives
