About this Role
We're starting to build out our Sales team, and as our first Sales Development Representative (SDR), you'll be an integral part in generating qualified sales opportunities and driving revenue. As an SDR, you'll take a creative approach to generate qualified sales opportunities: developing outbound email campaigns, LinkedIn marketing and outreach, cold calling and event strategies. Whatever it takes to build a strong pipeline. As an early member of the team, you'll build out target lists of customers and nurture prospects, and this is a great opportunity to jump in and learn about building a sales function from the ground up. You will coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and design to bridge the gap between product and revenue.
Responsibilities & Duties
    • Identify high-potential customers and perform outbound activities over email, LinkedIn, and phone calls to build out the top of the funnel pipeline.
    • Partner with our marketing team and sales leader to build out our outreach strategy and iterate with feedback.
    • Act as the subject matter expert on Kira's product, and develop a strong sales and product knowledge around AI and Computer Science education space.
    • Maintain data integrity by keeping accurate and detailed records or prospecting activities, meetings and opportunities
    • Set qualified introductory meetings for the Sales team.
    • Nurture early phase opportunities for future pipeline potential.
    • Consistently achieve or exceed quota and set a high bar of excellence across the team.
    • Invest in your self-development, focusing on the skills and attributes that will make you successful in your core role and get you set for future success within the Sales team
Experience & Skills
    • 1-2 years of B2B customer facing experience is preferred with a professional goal of developing into a modern sales professional
    • Ability to develop strong, long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • A sense of urgency and ability to manage time and prioritize tasks; accountable to commitments
    • Resourceful and results driven and can find creative solutions to reach monthly and quarterly goals
    • Collaborative and coachable mindset - you should be excited about continuously improving your skills and impact
    • A passion for CS and AI education and Kira's vision and mission
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; you can patiently, professionally and effectively communicate with a diverse and multicultural group of peers across time zones and continents
    • Nimble and adaptable. Can roll with the punches and thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
    • A positive, can-do attitude. You're not deterred by minor setbacks and are able to swiftly overcome ambiguity

    • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace programs, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software tools.
$65,000 - $90,000 a year
Competitive salary ($65,000 - $90,000) base pay with a variable component and a equity package in a well-funded, high growth company. Compensation is based on a number of relevant factors such as location, professional experience and related skill sets.
