We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for our highly visible Beverage Operations Manager position. Must have an outgoing personality and communicate effectively with team members, HCC Members, and their guests. The Beverage Operations Manager is a strategic leader and is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Beverage Operation. This position directs and oversees all Beverage team members and aspects of beverage service and execution in a year-round high-volume environment. This position is extremely hands-on. The Beverage Operations Manager will focus on all F&B outlet operations including the Member Dining, Banquet, and Halfway House. The Beverage Operations Manager reports directly to the Director of Food and Beverage and communicates daily on Beverage operations. Works in tandem with the Director of Restaurant Operations and Banquet Managers.
Primary duties up to and including:
Manage the food and beverage department's budget, hiring, training, beverage menu development, and orientations, and foster a culture of teamwork.
Develop and maintain an inventory management system for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, mixers, glassware, paper, and bar supplies.
Enforces safety policies and enhances member service quality. Innovates to meet member needs and shows strong organizational skills.
Attention to detail and consistency in high quality service and a proactive mindset are essential to achieving success in this role.
Oversee beverage components for private events, including bartender oversight and event set up and breakdown. Implement cost-effective controls for employee payroll, purchases, inventories, supplies, and other expenses.
Interacts professionally with all team members, vendors, and the community to promote HCC's culture of service and support.
Supervise associates to ensure compliance with Club policies and government regulations.
Must possess honesty and integrity.
Provide timely and accurate reports and analysis.
Manages liquor license renewal and ensures compliance with beverage laws.
Plans beverage promotions, recipes, and works on marketing with the Communications Director.
Oversees the Wine Committee and Wine Society.
Maintains cleanliness of beverage areas and creates training programs.
Provides leadership and fosters a positive club atmosphere.
Able to work a varied schedule set according to business needs including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Comfortable in a fast-paced and high-pressure
Must be able to work in a loud and busy environment.
Must be able to work in a warm and humid environment at times. Functions outside may require working in hot, sunny, cool, cold, and/or rainy conditions.
Requirements:Desired Education & Experience
5 years Food and Beverage Experience in a Country Club setting
Bachelor’s Degree (in Hospitality Management a plus)
Certification from recognized organizations such as Court of Master Sommelier, WSET, Society of Wine Educators is a plus
TABC certified
Special Requirements
Able to stand for 4 – 6 hours
Must be available to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime if needed, weekend and holidays
Must work well with others as a team
Must always be courteous and tactful
Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50lbs.
