We have an opening for a collaborative and energetic individual to serve in a player role as an Accounts Payable Specialist. This position reports to our Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the overall Accounting processing and procedures for vendor, including A/P month-end accruals.
• Process A/P vendor invoices daily. Route invoices for approval via CMiC Workflow as required.
• Set-up new vendors.
• Ensure that vendors are in compliance with required documentation.
• Interact with vendors to answer questions and resolve account and billing discrepancies.
• Maintain file of invoices that require payment of sales tax.
• Serve as backup for Certificate of Insurance documentation. Ensure documentation is current for timely processing of vendor payments.
• Participate in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending and applying safety and health training, and eliminating hazards within your capability and control and the help of safety staff.

Qualifications and Experience

• Associates degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Prior construction industry experience preferred
• Experience with state of the art industry software (ideally Procore, CMiC, Textura), or equivalent preferred
• Applies a customer-centric mindset to all work efforts.
