GUNNER® is on the hunt for an experienced, entrepreneurial Vice President of Marketing who’s ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment and continue to drive growth. Our Vice President of Marketing will be a galvanizing leader, providing clear and regular strategic direction to their team of 4 people as well as external agencies. As an integral member of the GUNNER® Leadership Team, this role will lead our Marketing department end-to-end including Performance Marketing (acquisition and retention channels), Brand Marketing (social, community, events, partnerships), and Creative Services (photo/video, copy, asset production, web/ecommerce UX).
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of our Marketing channels such as paid, affiliate, PR, email, SMS, direct mail, ecommerce site content, and data/analytics including ownership of contracts, agency negotiations, agency performance, RFPs, promotional activity/marketing calendar development, etc.
Oversee ecommerce business health metrics such as net sales, AOV, conversion rate, LTV, CAC, ROAS/MER, and additional engagement/performance metrics by channel and drive rapid scale of our direct-to-consumer business
Drive strategic initiative roadmapping across Performance and Brand Marketing, enacting strategic progress to scale the GUNNER® direct-to-consumer business
Lead a progressing, collaborative and winning culture across a growing team of 5 people, including 3-4 direct reports who oversee Brand Marketing, Performance Marketing, and Creative
Performance Marketing: paid search, display, paid social, affiliate, PR/media, email, SMS, etc.
Brand Marketing: community, partnerships, social content, influencer marketing, event marketing, etc.
Creative: video/photo production, graphic design, copywriting, asset production, ecommerce web UX and marketing enablement
Develop Marketing department budget and KPIs including marketing spend, fixed and variable expenses, forecasts and KPI goals with an emphasis on both initial accuracy and regular reforecast communication
Build a strong partnership with cross-functional departments, regularly and proactively communicating with CX, Operations, Ecommerce Systems, Finance and other key downstream/upstream stakeholders of Marketing’s success
Champion system, process and accountability for Marketing execution of calendar/day-to-day and strategic roadmap/short-to-long-term initiatives
Oversee Creative Services requests to final output ensuring that brand tone, aesthetic and messaging are supportive and elevating of brand guidelines
Act as a crucial member of the Leadership Team, weighing in on business strategy, long-term decisions, employee engagement and overall business strengths
Assist in managing and strategic development of Omnichannel paid ads opportunities

Experience working in a fast-paced environment with founders focused on product and brand
Required Qualifications
10 years of Marketing experience directly managing marketing channels, creative services with a strong background at ecommerce and Omnichannel retail brands
Experience managing or a deep working understanding of ecommerce and marketing technology including retail technology systems/stacks, ecommerce platforms, email platforms, SMS providers, review platforms, influencer marketing tools, etc.
Strong cultural leadership and effective management of teams of 5 in size, including professional development of both individual contributors and managers
Managed a multi-million dollar budget, reforecasts and demonstrated experience driving both efficiency and scale
Experience with supporting high-growth marketing expansion from a strategic, channel and talent standpoint
Demonstrated experience leading sales forecasting and managing towards goals at the channel and business unit level
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or equivalent

This role will report directly to the President and be a member of the Leadership Team. This role will manage (3-4) direct reports (5 total reports) who oversee marketing, creative, and brand.
