Job Reports To: Chief Revenue Officer
Status: Exempt
The Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service is responsible for leading the day-to-day success of the Season Ticket Sales, Season Ticket Service & Retention, Group Sales, and Inside Sales teams and directly reports to the Chief Revenue Officer. The Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service is responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive the maximization of ticket revenue and achieve a consistent sold-out atmosphere for the Nashville Predators in collaboration with the Premium Sales & Service, Business Strategy, and Marketing leads.
Additionally, the Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service will develop, lead, motivate, and hold accountable the sales and service leadership team and team members to meet and exceed established sales and service goals and objectives, while functioning as a collaborative teammate with all areas of the organization.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a senior member of the revenue leadership team responsible for setting and achieving sales goals through the sale of ticket products (Season Ticket Memberships, Partial Plans, Group Tickets, and Single Game Ticket Sales) and retention of current season ticket members.
  • Be responsible for the leadership, oversight, and accountability of the Predators ticket sales & service team and team leaders.
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales and service leadership and team members.
  • Develop and execute short and long-term strategic plans to meet and exceed the organization’s ticket sales goals.
  • Lead the sales and service team through the transformation of a traditional season ticket platform to a year-round engaging membership platform.
  • Implement organized systems, processes, and measurements to manage progress and success of each sales discipline (New Season Ticket Membership Sales, Membership Retention and Service, Group Sales, Youth Sports Sales, and Single Game Sales) effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Business Strategy & Analytics group on the development and execution of the inventory strategy and pricing models, and lead generation campaigns.
  • Set and manage accountability of the sales & service team to adopt and increase CRM utilization.
  • Collaborate with the Business Strategy & Analytics team to monitor and manage revenue pipeline leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing group on the creation of fan development, fan engagement, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate routinely with the Business Strategy & Analytic, Finance and Marketing groups on pricing strategies, business models, and messaging to achieve revenue goals.
  • Work in partnership with the SS&E Executive Leader, to achieve ticket sales goals and objectives for Austin Peay State University Athletics, F&M Bank Arena, and our expanded partners.
  • Serve as a secondary leader to the Director of SS&E Sales, providing the leader with coaching, guidance, and direction in the year-round development SS&E Sales and Service staff, and the execution of sales and service campaigns.
  • Take ownership of championing a passionate sales culture within the revenue team and contribute to the advancement of our workplace culture by sparking energy, motivating, and inspiring team members.
  • Be an active and collaborative leader across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree form accredited college or university required, preferably in sports administration, management, or related field.
  • 8 years demonstrated success in sales leadership in the Sports/Entertainment industry.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team of sales and service professionals with varying levels of experience.
  • Proven success in developing and executing successful sales strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Passionate about delivering an excellent human experience and has a deep understanding of the role we play in creating extraordinary experiences that impact someone’s life, memories, and connection to community.

  • As a condition of employment, qualified applicant will be subject to a background check, including a criminal history check, driving history and character references.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, possess a suitable driving history and be insurable by Nashville Predators’ insurance carrier (without conditions).
Essential Physical Functions:
  • High finger dexterity for large document typing.
  • Occasional heavy lifting/ moving of items up to 50lbs.
  • Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, and loud noise.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent speaking and listening skills, requiring the perception of speech.
