Job Summary and Qualifications

The Assistant Vice President, Parallon Project Management is responsible for the successful planning and implementation of key identified organizational initiatives within Parallon. In addition to the leadership and execution of specific programs and projects, this position is responsible for creating a “shared service” project management organization to support multiple company initiatives within Parallon, beyond the existing shared services structure, and outside of the Parallon and HCA organization where applicable. This position will also support efforts associated with Project Management consulting services, as well as design and facilitation services for our internal and external customers.

The position requires solid leadership, trust building, team building, as well as strong communication and change management skills to influence and lead other Parallon and HCA departments, business partners, facility leadership, and outside business customers in order to the ensure success of all organizational initiatives. The candidate must be a highly organized and results-oriented individual with a demonstrated strong commitment and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.

What you will do in this role:

• Provides day-to-day overall team, project, program and implementation leadership/direction for their team as well as applicable programs and projects.
• Builds and maintain infrastructure to support consistent deployment of shared services products and services across the company as well as with Parallon’s clients.
• Leads executive sponsor status and strategy meetings to manage relationships, general project/program execution, issues and risks across multiple initiatives.
• Develops, collaboratively, the methodologies and responsibilities for all implementation roles related to programs / projects.
• Manages and leads the creation of implementation toolkits for projects and programs to be deployed across the enterprise to support various shared services and other programs / projects.
• Prepares and manages the budget for responsible/assigned department(s).
• Assures the creation of training and education associated with PMO processes and tools.
• Actively and pro-actively communicates with HCA Division, Corporate, facility, Business Unit, and external client stakeholders to manage the impact of change, escalate key risks and issues, and communicate project status expectations and timelines.
• Prepares project and program status reports utilizing standard tools meeting the guideline established by leadership, and customizing when necessary in order to meet internal and external client needs.
• Leads and directs project management staff to achieve project milestones and deadlines, such as implementation schedules.
• Manages the change management process for projects/programs within their prevue. Performs at a high level of change agility and champions change management methodology within the Parallon organization as well as with our client organization.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
• 10-15 years experience with leading/managing large team, multiple high complexity programs/projects to successful completion, preferably in healthcare financial services, clinical operations, supply chain, or information systems-oriented environments.
• 10 years of management experience preferred
• HCA-based operations or system experiences a plus.
• PMP preferred, but not required; HFMA certifications a plus.
