Job Summary and Qualifications

The CDRA Program Coordinator plays a critical role in the advancement of the Clinical Data Registry Abstraction (CDRA) and HIM, Coding & Abstraction departments’ strategic, operational, and quality goals. This role will be part of a team responsible for delivery of technology and workflow solutions that enhances CDRA and HIM, Coding & Abstraction’s ability to maintain production standards, monitor performance, solve problems and make timely decisions. This role will collaborate heavily with CDRA Operations, Information Technology (IT) Business Intelligence (BI) and HIM, Coding & Abstraction teams on projects of various scopes and complexity.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, CDRA Program, day-to-day activities will range from drafting and implementing workflows and associated configuration changes with stakeholders, collaboration with CDRA Operations in the creation of actionable dashboards, creation of operational workflows and deliverables to support implementations.


Workflows & Managing Work

  • Coordinates intake through established pipeline with HIM team members, IT BI, IT Data Science, IT Product Development, and other stakeholders
  • Reviews incoming requests for completeness, follows up on needed information, and performs necessary research for requirements development
  • Facilitates requirements elicitation sessions using various techniques with diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Organizes and facilitates larger design sessions as needed
  • Translates request into business/technical requirements that defines the scope and format of the deliverable
  • Evaluates requirements and estimates time needed to complete deliverable
  • Creates guiding documents, job aids and toolkits to support the implementation of workflows and technology solutions
  • Ensures request information stays up to date to support leadership prioritization
  • Communicates routinely with Manager on any significant issues, status of projects, barriers and successes • Navigates between competing priorities, perspectives, and needs from business partners – guides stakeholders towards the best “collective outcome”

Collaboration

  • Responsible for collaborating with teams, communicating with stakeholders, and providing subject matter expertise in a fast-paced environment
  • Completes projects in collaboration with HIM department team members, IT BI, IT Data Science and other various roles to evaluate outcomes across enterprise
  • Engages stakeholders to resolve issues with data transmission, workflows, configurations or to coordinate changes in file layouts or file processing

Maintenance

  • Assists in administration of HIM Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools, sites, adhering to content publishing standards set forth by established governance bodies
  • Ensures requirements documentation is kept updated and accessible to the business
  • Handles and maintains confidential data sources
  • Performs ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports, as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Technical skills - demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and BI tools. Demonstrates understanding of statistical analysis techniques, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and data science terminologies and methodologies.
  • Numeracy skills- demonstrates proficiency in statistical calculations, argumentation and logical thinking, interpreting mathematical information, relationships of numbers, and measurement used in analytics.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, business analytics, statistics, computer science or related field preferred
  • Master’s degree in the above preferred

Experience

  • 3 years of reporting and data analysis experience required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required • Experience with workflow management tools (I.e., Jira) preferred
  • Analysis of healthcare related data preferred
  • Experience using market BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, QlikView, etc., a plus
  • Experience working with enterprise-sized (very, very large) data sets a plus
  • Management experience not a requirement
