Requirements Special Events Coordinator, Office of Advancement - Georgetown University Job Overview The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for managing registration and attendance tracking for Advancement events which support the alumni engagement, development and campaign goals established by the university. This position works directly with the Director of Signature Events to evaluate the effectiveness of registration processes in supporting the overall goals of each event. The Special Events Coordinator also manages the preparation of event materials (such as name tags and event supplies), processes payments, and assists the event lead in reconciling income and coordinating other elements of the event. The Special Events Coordinator also serves as the first point of contact for all event inquiries from alumni and donors. Work Interactions The Special Events Coordinator serves as a member of the Office of Advancement Special Events team, reporting to the Director of Signature Events. This position interacts with Advancement and university colleagues to support the planning and execution of a variety of events. In managing the registration process for events, the Special Events Coordinator oversees Advancement event volunteers and serves as the first point of contact for many alumni and donors. These interactions are an important component of building and maintaining positive constituent relationships and the overall success of the event experience. Qualifications Bachelor's degree At least 1 year of event support and registration experience Exceptional organizational and time management skills as well as has superb attention to detail Ability to concurrently balance multiple, high priorities Excellent communication and customer service skills Mission-driven mindset Work Mode: Hybrid 2 Days.
