Job Overview
The Operations and Special Projects Associate provides operational and strategic support to the Dean's Office in a variety of complex and confidential operational duties, executing on a portfolio of high-priority projects identified by the McCourt School leadership team. Projects may include planning for a successful school move to the Capitol campus, implementing new gift-funded programs, planning for new academic programs, supporting engagement activities with the Board of Advisors and other external partners, and other new operational and strategic initiatives as they arise. The Operations and Special Projects Associate leads all facilities management, which include but not limited to facilities, space, and safety; and - under the direction of the Chief of Staff - creates and analyzes existing policies and procedures for operations and administration, and coordinates the Dean's Office events and activities, as needed.
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Chief of Staff and Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Operations and Special Projects Associate regularly interact with the Dean of the McCourt School, the Dean's Executive Assistant, members of McCourt's leadership team, the Administrative Coordinator, and specific faculty, graduate students, University partners, and external constituents.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience - preferably in higher education and/or public policy
Professionalism, discretion, tact, sensitivity and integrity for regular exposure to confidential material and a diverse array of stakeholders, from faculty, staff, students, University partners; as well as external partners and donors
Work Mode: Hybrid 4 Days. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.
