Job Description

Do you enjoy a blend of payroll, recruiting, data records and providing HR knowledge to every level of team member in a company? NAPA Auto Parts has a HR Assistant opportunity!

Experience Requirements: 
Full payroll process: 2-3 yrs. experience (NAPA Grand Rapids consists of 300 members)
Recruiting process (job post, candidate screening & job offer): 1-2 yrs.
On-boarding & Orientation (new file preparation, conduct orientations): 1-2 yrs.

Role:
Be a go to person for HR daily operations answers
Enjoy Payroll, Recruiting and Employee data records
Interact and provide basic HR process/employee relations coaching to supervisors and team members
Provide public communication of company information such as Benefit Enrollment and Health & Wellness programs.
Additional HR support responsibilities below...

Responsibilities

  • Payroll processing for local operation (300 team members).
  • Recruitment processing including but not limited to: post open jobs, application screening (including phone screens), making job offers and administering pre-employment process.
  • New Hire processing including conducting new hire orientation, class training and  preparing paperwork.
  • Provide admin. systems and basic policy training/communication as needed.
  • Provide HR process/employee relations coaching to supervisors and team members.
  • Provide full comprehensive Human Resources support for the HR department and other departments as needed (Unemployment management, Workers Compensation management, employee data, leave management, filing employee relations documentation, meeting notes, internal/external written correspondence, filing, creating reports.
  • Assist team members with basic tasks such as benefit enrollment, electronic policy processes, etc.
  • Coordinate volunteer and staff training events, lunches or programs and recommends resources.
  • Provide support and communication of company sponsored activities such as Annual Benefit Enrollment and Health and Wellness programs 

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 4 years of general office / clerical experience
  • Super savvy - Microsoft Office Suite
  • Entirely customer-centric (internal/external)
  • Knowledge of recruitment process, payroll and employee relations
  • Competency to create accurate reports and data
  • Able to present information in forms, tables, and spreadsheets.
  • And if you have this, even better:
  • 1 years in Human Resources and Recruiting
  • 1 years of experience with Kronos and PeopleSoft preferred
  • Able to navigate popular social media recruiting platforms
  • Tech savviness. You have the strong ability to navigate through various software programs and social media platforms.
