We are seeking a proactive and driven Sales Development Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with potential clients and partners, and contributing to the company's sales and growth objectives. Your efforts will play a crucial role in helping us expand our market presence and achieve our goal of increasing our revenue.

Identify and target potential clients and partners within the wildlife-friendly products and services market
Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and partners through regular communication, follow-ups, and meetings
Conduct market research to identify new trends, opportunities, and areas for expansion
Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies that drive lead generation and customer acquisition
Prepare and deliver presentations and pitches to potential clients and partners
Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote Garden for Wildlife
Collaborate with the product development team to suggest new products or services based on market needs and feedback from potential clients
Meet and exceed sales targets as set by the company
Provide regular updates and reports on sales development activities and results to senior management.

Strong general computing skills using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office software, including excellent Excel skills (development of excel formulae & macros)
Internship or familiarity of working in a professional office setting is preferred, but not required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or related field
One or more years of proven experience in sales development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the environmental, gardening, or wildlife sector
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Passionate about wildlife conservation and environmentally sustainable practices
Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and trade shows

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, hear & type on a computer. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift and lift 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
This is a hybrid position that may require in-person meetings in the Washington, DC metro area and require travel up to 10% of the time. The employee will be issued a laptop to perform work.
