Business Development Manager, ESG Solutions

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Business Development Mangers across the globe to grow sales of our market leading ESG supply chain risk solutions, to corporations industries including retail, fashion, apparel and financial services. The Business Development Manager will drive sales and revenue growth through identifying and contacting new prospects aswell as cross selling to LRQA’s vast client base.

You will work closely with cross functional teams across ESG, Human rights, supply chain risk management aswell as relevant functions from sales, customer success, data & analytics and marketing to sell innovative and market driven products to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead on the execution of a go-to-market strategy for new and cross sales across the Americas region
  • Achieve annual new sales target of $1m for the UK & European region
  • Identify and prioritise key prospects by leveraging professional network, existing relationships, market research and industry insight
  • Develop a robust new client pipeline for Analytics solutions
  • Contribute to the LRQA product road map as the voice of the customer
  • Represent LRQA Advisory sales in cross-business engagement and initiatives
  • Attend external events and conferences
  • Keep up to date with key regulations, NGO activity, multilateral organizations, emerging issues and drivers
  • Understand key competitors and critical points of difference
  • Support junior members as a mentor with progression pathway to regional team leader

Experience and skills required

  • 10 years of sales and business development experience, a history of exceeding individual sales targets with a good understanding of the sales process from prospecting to close
  • Ideal candidates have a passion for & understanding of sustainability
  • Bachelors degree in relevant field with post graduate degree
  • Strategic, client-focussed mindset with the ability to spearhead an execution plan
  • Strong commercial acumen
