Delta Group Electronics is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Albuquerque, NM

Develops policy and directs and coordinates human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, benefits, training, and employee services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the payroll function & processing for the corporation.
  • Serves as the principal contact for managers and employees in answering questions regarding company policies and procedures; advises managers in resolving personnel related problems.
  • Performs duties related to recruiting, employment, compensation, benefits administration, and training.
  • Prepares and maintains data for affirmative action program; files EEO-1, Vets100 annually; maintains other records to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Ensures that personnel policies and procedures are followed throughout company.
  • Provides training and support for facility Human Resource representative.
  • Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
  • Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs.
  • Writes and delivers presentations to corporate officers or government officials regarding human resources policies and practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises five employees in the Human Resources Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
