Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of nursing operations within our facility. Your leadership and expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality care and the implementation of best practices. Duties: - Provide strategic direction and leadership to the nursing staff - Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards - Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care outcomes - Manage staffing levels, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations - Oversee the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives - Monitor patient satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly - Stay updated on advancements in medical technology, treatments, and regulations - Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (Master's degree preferred) - Current valid nursing license - Proven experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting - Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and nursing practices - Familiarity with assisted living regulations and requirements - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to effectively manage resources and budgets Skills: - Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals. - Doctor/Nurse Collaboration: Ability to work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. - Anatomy Knowledge: Understanding of the structure and function of the human body. - Physiology Knowledge: Understanding of how the body systems work together. - Assisted Living: Familiarity with regulations specific to assisted living facilities. - Medical Terminology: Proficiency in medical terminology for effective communication with healthcare professionals. - Nurse Management Systems: Experience with managing nursing operations using electronic systems.
