Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Admissions Coordinator to join our team. The Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for managing the admissions process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of paperwork, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the admissions process for new patients, including gathering necessary paperwork and verifying insurance information
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
- Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure a smooth transition for patients from the admissions process to their care plan
- Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing patient inquiries
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical administrative support role preferred
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in systems such as Epic or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with ER or dental office procedures is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork and maintaining records
