[Job Summary]
Our client is a premier sportswear company with a rich history dating back over 50 years and is seeking a Senior Accountant to add to their organization. This brand is experiencing rapid growth and the ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, analysis and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This candidate will be entrepreneurial, flexible, and willing to roll up their sleeves as the company expands into exciting new channels. This role is full time on site in New York City.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee forecasting, budgeting and financial statements.
- Prepare accounting report schedules, monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Active role in the monthly account analysis
- Manage the quarterly and year-end closings.
- Manage federal corporate tax, sales tax, VAT and payroll tax.
- Manage Royalty report and communicate with licensee.
- Enhance efficiency of projects, budgeting and business processes with Accounting and Finance team.
- Ensure appropriate analyses are timely and accurate.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
[Qualifications]
Requirements:
- 5 ? 7 years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or finance, CPA preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookup, and logic formulas).
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Extremely detail-oriented, organized, highly motivated, proactive, and willing to learn.
- Be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills both orally and written.
