Job Description
Join our team as a Senior Accountant, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial integrity of our organization. Working closely with the Controller, you'll drive month-end closing procedures and champion meticulous documentation of our accounting policies. Your expertise will be instrumental in evaluating and proposing internal controls, empowering us to minimize risks and optimize our financial operations. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about leveraging their public accounting background to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and growing company.
Salary: $83,000-95,000
Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end closing tasks, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Develop and maintain company accounting policies and procedures.
• Stay current with the latest accounting principles and compliance standards.
• Document and execute internal control processes, identify potential risks, and suggest risk mitigation strategies.
• Review tax filings and ensure accuracy of current and deferred tax provision calculations.
• Lead the process of unclaimed property reporting and filings.
• Drive ongoing process enhancements by streamlining and automating procedures.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience including 2-3 years of public accounting
• Thorough understanding of US GAAP accounting principles, procedures, and internal controls.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with ERP systems Oracle and Sage X3 are nice to have.
• Proven track record of process improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
