San Francisco's legendary supper club is looking for a talentedSous-Chef. Bix is repeatedly one of SF Chronicle's Bay Area Top 100restaurants. We are seeking someone with a minimum of one year ofmanagement experience in fine dining. We offer a competitive salary andbenefits.

Serving Modern San Francisco Cuisine, we are known for a deep devotion tolocal products and suppliers. Much of our food comes directly to the restaurantfrom local farms. Our chefs and their culinary team can be found everySaturday at the storied Farmer's Market at the San Francisco Ferry Building,sourcing the finest ingredients.
Inspired by its location in San Francisco's Jackson Square and appreciativeof its culinary roots, our menu is a combination of the classic and the new.
Responsibilities
·Help in the preparation and design of all food menus
·Produce high-quality, consistent plates in both designand taste
·Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way thatmeets our quality standards
·Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning anddirecting food preparation when necessary
·Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seizecontrol of any problematic situation
·Manage and train kitchen staff, establish workingschedule and assess staff's performance
·Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
·Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations andsafety standards
·Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkersand customers
·Assist in scheduling, ordering, and inventory
Requirements:
·1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef
·Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients,equipment, and procedures
·Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
·Accuracy and speed in handling emergencies andproviding solutions
·Familiar with industry's best practices
·Working knowledge of various computer software programs(MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
PAY SCALE: Salary Exempt from $66,560-$75,000depending on experience.
