Summary:Purpose: Under general direction, the HR Generalist is responsible for assisting and supporting the Manager, Human Resources and the plant leadership team in all facets of human resources; including but not limited to; benefits administration, recruiting, policy implementation, reporting of information, employee relations and coordination of training for company employees.
Responsibilities/Principal Duties: 1. Ensure compliance to all safety policies and procedures. Support and maintain a “safety first” culture. 2. Ensure all tasks are performed in a safe manner.3. Understand and fully utilize all ISO document control procedures. 4. Recruits, interviews and assists with the selection of hourly employees to fill vacant positions. 5. Plans and conducts new employee onboarding.6. Assists in development, implementation as well as maintaining human resources policy and procedures.7. Manages employee relation issues with HR Manager to affect prompt and appropriate resolutions.8. Maintains HRIS system to include: compensation, hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations and disciplinary records.9. Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations; partners with managers to improve climate based upon constructive feedback. 10. Assess and tracks FMLA for employees11. Generates/Administers PAR forms and Corrective Action Notices for employees.12. Counsels employees to resolve personal or company related problems, which affect their performance.13. Conducts administrative and clerical duties as related to maintaining HR files, resource documents, reports, records, programs, and processes. 14. Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job in an office environment, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; the employee must periodically lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will be required to travel occasionally.
