Auto Driveaway is Hiring a Business Development Manager Near Lenexa, KS

Looking for the ability to make an impact as a key part of a rapidly growing, technology-enabled, and nationally focused transportation services company? If so, Auto Driveaway Truck Transport is seeking a strategic, energetic, and customer-focused team member to join the organization as a Business Development Manager to drive sales and growth. In this role, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for expanding the client portfolio across a diverse range of industries, prospecting for new customers, and winning opportunities. This position with one of the largest professional driveaway companies in the United States is ideal for a candidate that is organized, passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience and motivated to grow the business.
Auto Driveaway Truck Transport is a leading national provider of professional truck relocation services, serving large corporate truck dealers and OEMs with fast, safe and reliable door-to-door driveaway service nationwide. Services include transporting via single, boom or deck/piggyback method from coast to coast. We accomplish this with a personalized customer experience, an unwavering commitment to safety, and national network of professional drivers – helping to ensure quality, accountability, and reliability on every trip.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Actively prospect and qualify new customer opportunities and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to position the business for growth and achieve established targets
  • Provide prompt and accurate quotes for transportation requests, including but not limited to managing assigned bid boards, responding with competitive bids to capitalize on the opportunities presented
  • Proactively engage with customers to identify opportunities to gain additional market share and become the carrier of choice
  • Ensure orders and transportation requests are entered accurately and maintain timely communication with customers on order status
  • Draft sales proposals and RFP/RFQ responses as required, and accurately utilize a CRM tool for pipeline and opportunity management
  • Maintain regular engagement with internal stakeholders to ensure Auto Driveaway is meeting needs and expectations
  • Keep up to date on industry trends and competitive intelligence
  • Grow Auto Driveaway’s reputation as the driveaway company of choice across the United States
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • College degree required
  • 5 years of sales and customer relationship management experience, including a track record of growth and success in new business generation
  • Proven experience and success in outside sales in a high growth environment
  • Strong background in transportation, logistics or related fields preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to influence customer decision making and win opportunities
  • Experience with sales pipeline management
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Solid financial acumen and understanding of profit and loss and developing quotes
  • High energy, enthusiasm and drive for achieving results
  • Passionate about safety and customer experience
  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment, recognizing a sense of urgency and self-motivation
