ARKHAUS Miami, the world’s first floating member’s only club is hiring an EXECUTIVE CHEF.

Objective: The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, logistics, cooking and presentation. 

We are looking for someone who possesses strong leadership skills and has a strong sense of hospitality. Hands-on management experience is a must and we prefer someone who pays attention to details. Experience operating a “scratch kitchen” is a plus as well as familiarity with eco-friendly and sustainable practices.

• Develop and implement menus that align with ARKHAUS' culinary concept.

• Manage and train kitchen staff, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

• Collaborate with the management team to create and execute catering menus for special events.

• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to sanitation and safety regulations at all times.

• Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques to continuously improve menu offerings.

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Physical Requirements:

Might occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally push and/or pull up to 50 pounds. The employee will spend at least 4 hours plus daily standing or walking.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Culinary School Certification.

• A minimum of five (5) years of high volume cooking experience in a fine dining environment.

• A minimum of (3) years as an Executive Chef in a fine dining environment. 

• Knowledge of industry trends, menu creation, coaching/training and building teams.

• Must have knowledge of a variety of regional cooking styles.

• Scratch Kitchen, eco-friendly and sustainable practices are a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills

• Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a team of kitchen staff.

• Extensive knowledge of kitchen management principles and practices.

• Proven experience in catering and banquet operations.

• Excellent food management skills, including inventory control and cost management.

• Proficient in food production techniques, including preparation, cooking, and plating.

• Culinary expertise with a creative approach to menu development.

• Must be able to work flexible hours and days. 

• Maritime experience is a plus.

ARKHAUS Miami is situated in Biscayne Bay on multiple maritime vessels, and accessed by tender. You must be okay with being on the water.
