Albi is seeking a Pastry Chef who is highly motivated and passionate about cooking to join our tight knit team. Albi and Yellow are a growing restaurant group with two new restaurant openings in 2025. We are looking for a Pastry Chef to grow with the team! The pastry chef is responsible for overseeing nightly dessert service at Albi, as well as production and menu development for YELLOW and La Shukran. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of fine dining experience, a desire to learn, is able to maintain a consistent high level of execution, and can be flexible with our company's growth. Albi/YELLOW offers excellent benefits and opportunities to evolve with the company. Albi is the 1 Michelin Starred, nationally recognized debut restaurant from chef/owner Michael Rafidi.Chef Rafidi takes inspiration from his family’s Palestinian roots, bringing to the table an experience that melds the ancient tradition of the region’s coal-fired cuisine with local, seasonal, Mid-Atlantic ingredients and a refined culinary acumen. Daytime cafe, YELLOW, offers pita sandwiches, mezze, pastries which meld Levantine ingredients and flavors with classic French technique, and inventive coffee offerings.Over the course of the first year of operations, the dual concept venture has attracted significant critical attention, earning mention as one of the nation's Best New Restaurant listsin Eater National, Robb Report and Esquire, Eater DC's Restaurant of the Year, and inclusion as one of the best bakeries in Washington, DC by Food & Wine Magazine.
