Zinda Law Group, a prestigious personal injury law firm is looking for a highly organized Controller to join our team.

This role is based in our Austin, TX office (hybrid). 

We are open to candidates working in a full or part time capacity.

Position Overview:

As the Controller at Zinda Law Group, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and strategy of the firm. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of financial management tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes. You will collaborate closely with department heads, attorneys, and administrative staff to support the firm's financial objectives while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day company accounts
• Assist with financial planning
• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Own Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end Close and Reconciliation Process
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Maintain sound fiscal policy, effective financial controls, and institutional budgeting
• Ensure government compliance in all tasks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 years experience in the area
• Experience managing a team/contractors
• Proficiency with current financial software
• Understanding of US GAAP
• Capable of making decisions under stressful conditions
• Working knowledge of all applicable Federal and State laws
• Preference for CPA candidates

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:

Salary of $118,000-250,000 depending on experience

Paid time off (20 days) and 10 paid holidays
