Do you love accounting and finance? Are you in your zone being an accounting department of one? We are an established company seeking an experienced Controller to join our team. We value individuals who are passionate about their work, possess strong leadership skills, and have a keen understanding of financial management. This person is a department of one, you will own all accounting and finance responsibilities.
As a Controller, you will play a pivotal role in steering our company in the right financial direction. We are looking for a results-driven professional with proven expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and leadership.
We are open to either a part-time or full-time position, depending on your experience and expertise. You will have a strong fiduciary responsibility for the company's success and contribute to its overall growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide financial leadership and direction to the management team, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance.
- All A/R and A/P functions and monthly closing as well as financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Responsible for maintaining probability adjusted forecast and cash flow.
- Maintain a strong system of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making by management and monitor key financial metrics.
- Collaborate with departments to optimize financial processes and drive operational efficiency.
- Provide leadership and direction to the management team, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance.
- Use QuickBooks for all accounting and finance related processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA designation is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar leadership role.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary: Depends on FT vs. PT and experience
