To learn about VTX Energy Partners, visit our website at www.vtxep.com.Job DescriptionVTX is currently seeking an Assistant Controller to join the Finance function.Responsibilities may include:Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reportsConduct monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activitiesPerform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial dataAssist with budgeting and forecasting processesSupport the Controller in managing the general ledger and month-end close processCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policiesAssist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during financial auditsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactionsAssist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and proceduresReview and ensure the correct posting of entries by other staffProvide support for special projects as assignedAssist in the guidance and training of staffQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred)5 or more years of experience in accounting or related fieldStrong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)Experience with corporate accounting, or public accounting is preferredProficiency in Enertia accounting software is preferredExcellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detailStrong understanding of financial statement analysisAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in Oil and Gas accounting is a plusAdditional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
