Responsibilities (not limited to)*

  • Regularly meet with current and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders;
  • Constantly prospecting for new customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences;
  • Sales Activity Planning and Organization: Develop advanced, written sales call plans that include a schedule, contact list and sales strategy for each meeting;
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms;
  • Negotiate details of contracts and payments, prepare sales contracts and order forms;
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates;
  • Credit/Collections: Responsible for working with assigned customers/prospects to obtain credit information, update credit information and resolve outstanding collection issues;
  • Consult with clients after sales to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support;
  • Provide customers with product samples and catalogs;
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales;
  • Perform administrative duties including maintaining sales records and timely completion of expense account reports.

Requirements:

  • 3 years related experience in a trade field;
  • Knowledge of plumbing and heating products ;
  • Effective social and negotiation skills;
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail;
  • Successful track record as a sales closer;
  • A valid driver’s license. Driving record meets company insurance carrier standards;
  • Able to travel extensively within a local territory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
