Tradition Senior Living is Hiring an Assistant Executive Director Near Fort Worth, TX
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting with the overall successful operations of the independent, assisted living, and memory care communities. Meets budget goals. Fosters a positive, professional environment conducive to superior resident relations and employee morale. Ensures the delivery of quality services according to company guidelines. Manages human resources effectively. Resolves issues promptly and effectively. Demonstrates excellent organizational and leadership qualities. Maintains positive professional relations with employees, residents, and family members. Support the Executive Director with various operational tasks as needed. REPORTS TO: Executive Director EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Salaried, Full-time Exempt
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Confidentiality:
Understands responsibility to maintain confidentiality with financial records, employee payroll, and resident issues.
Discusses and reports issues/conflicts, as appropriate to Executive Director.
Team Member interaction to resolve employee issues/concerns.
Financial:
Business Office back up, knowledgeable of all business office duties.
Assist with management of labor and expenses within budget.
Lease signings and renewals.
Participate in monthly Resident Forum and council meetings.
Team Member interaction to resolve employee issues/concerns.
New hire paperwork.
Backup-New hire orientation.
Independent Living Community Relations
Liaison for resident daily needs, requests, and issues/concerns.
Liaison for the move in/move out process.
Family education/orientation for new residents.
Communicate with families; especially when residents are out of the community; send cards/notes.
Visit residents in the hospital.
Will assist residents through various times of sickness or injury through hospital visits, contact with family, or any other help the residents may need during that time and communicate to the executive director by completing the Hospital-Rehab Follow Up Worksheet.
Attend local funerals.
Assist with resident work order entry and warm call follow up.
Assist with keys/access fobs (new, replacement, additional requests)
Operations:
Day-to-day management of overall property services in a cost-effective, efficient manner by following company standard operating procedures.
Customer interaction to resolve issues/concerns.
Review and inspect property on a regular basis to ensure maintenance and upkeep of building, to level expected by residents and Tradition.
Assist ED in communications with residents, their families, and Tradition team members.
Resident Focus:
Day to day involvement and knowledge of all residents and family members to create a positive environment that reflects The Tradition culture and standards.
Efficiently use and manage of all company-required resident communications systems.
Lead the Hospitality committee efforts; to include visits to residents out of the community.
Facilitate Long Term Care Administration.
Record keeping:
Accurate, organized records of all financial, human resources, service and safety/risk management-related information.
Move-In Coordination
Arranges for new residents’ mailboxes, keys, in-house boxes, photos and listings.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least two years of operations management experience, or equivalent experience and education.
Understanding of financial parameters, and budget management.
Ability to effectively address and resolve both employee, resident and family concerns.
Superior customer relations skills.
Exhibits an energetic demeanor with a caring, compassionate, and positive attitude.
Ability to direct, supervise and coordinate the work of others and motivate for positive performance.
Possesses sound organizational and time management skills.
Possesses good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to utilize the computer and related software programs.
Assisted Living Managers Certification: 24-hour certification course available through The Tradition’s preferred provider. The cost of the class will be paid by The Tradition.
Able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires frequent walking, sitting, and standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance and is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell Activity level is high.
