The team at THD Design Group provides Engineering Design, Land Surveying, Geotechnical and Construction Management for both the public and private sectors. We provide the expertise and technology necessary to execute a project from preliminary design to construction. Our Surveying/Engineering staff has provided efficient and accurate surveys & designs for numerous projects ranging from single-family residential, large commercial & industrial developments and municipal projects. The geotechnical engineering department is seeking a part time Business Development Manager (BDM) who will be responsible for growing sales by developing relationships with key decision makers within the industry and researching, understanding and executing their sales business plan toward defined revenue goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Business Development and relationship development/management with prospects and existing customers. These prospects and customers will include developers, engineers, contractors, principals, estimators, project managers and senior leadership.
• Daily management of territory development
• Working with in-house management team to create and implement marketing efforts, cost control and securing payment.
• Developing business plans, marketing and sales of geotechnical services.
• Delivering effective and professional presentations via video and/or in person
• Limited travel throughout territory (<2-5%)
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

EXPERIENCE.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience growing technical solution sales revenue.
• Experience with surveys, records plats, easement exhibits, As-built drawings, etc.
• Able to work in team environment/office.
• Passion for sales and learning.
• Demonstrated tenaciousness.
• Competitive drive and attitude.
• Comfortable and skilled at engaging with Engineers, General Contractors, and Owner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Computer aptitude/skills including: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, and CRM.
• Working knowledge or experience in geotechnical construction a plus.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS

Compensation commensurate with background and experience.

· Base Salary with commission.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $47,914.80 - $57,703.84 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Commission pay
