Major/Essential Functions

• Handle and maintain confidential records on all Texas Tech University prospects and applicants
• Research issues regarding application documents and problem solve; anticipate next steps and prioritize workload
• Answer calls through call center software and provide accurate information to callers regarding TTU processes, policies, and next-steps
• Utilize independent judgment and critical thinking to anticipate next steps and prioritize workload
• Cross train on all process within Undergraduate Admissions processing
• Oversee assigned files as well as a specialization within the unit, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processes

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in job related field plus one year of related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge/proficiency in operation of Microsoft Office Suite, ten key and call center software, as well as admissions policies and procedures, enrollment goals, and university facts
• Ability to learn and become proficient with customer relationship software and various other software applications is required
• Must be able to communicate effectively with prospective students, parents, and other constituents
• Must be comfortable in busy, open concept room with shifting priorities
• Effective interpersonal and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in post-secondary environment preferred
• Previous customer service experience helpful
