The Merchandising Analyst ensures accurate planograms are maintained for utilization at the retail level. By analyzing category SKU information, based on authorized items, the Merchandising Analyst provides planograms that maximize sales, profits, and days of supply efficiency. The Merchandising Analyst creates plans for store level implementation and coordinates the efforts of Business managers, Living Well Advisors, GM Managers, Living Well Grocery Managers, Grocery Managers and Partner/broker representatives in implementing planograms.
Key Responsibilities:
Works with GM Business Director, Business Managers and Living Well Advisors, Living Well Grocery Managers to develop and implement coordinated set strategies and programs for retail stores
Trains and develops Living Well Advisors and GM Managers
Implements planograms that provide proper shelf allocation, proper sales mix, and proper distribution at retail of all items to positively impact sales, profits and inventory turns
Assists the Living Well Advisors on executing display planners and seasonal merchandising
Coordinates store set or reset activities with Living Well Advisors, GM Managers, Living Well Grocery Managers, Grocery Managers, store personnel and Partner/broker representatives
Analyze planogram and recommends changes to set strategies and programs for retail stores
Attends new store openings and resets as necessary
Work with the receiving supervisors on setting up and monitors EDI Partners
Performs other duties as requested or required by upper management
Key Requirements:
Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience
Proficient with MS Word and Excel
Experience in Natural and Organic Body Care and Supplements, Natural and Organic Food, and Specialty Food merchandising preferred
Minimum 4 years retail merchandising experience preferred
Appraise Team Member’s productivity and efficiency
Occasionally handle Team Member complaints and grievances, and escalate when the situation deems necessary
Excellent communication skills, including both verbal and written
Discretion and the ability to keep confidences
Able to present self in a confident manner and build trust amongst Team Members
Extensive travel, including overnight stays when required
Must be able to stoop, squat, climb, and stand for several hours at a time
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to reach and climb a step ladder/stairs
The majority of time will be spent in the stores
Knowledge and support of United procedures and programs
Must be well organized with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
High degree of honesty and integrity.
Ability to build strong business relationships with team members and partners
Ability to work independently without supervision and effectively manage time
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
