This position is in the Office of Human Resources, at the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicle, Headquarters, in Blythewood SC
Responsibilities of the Human Resources Assistant II
Prepares vacancy announcements for internal and external postings. Disseminates postings via the internet for statewide distribution through NEO GOV or internally through e-mail.
Responds to inquiries, both internal and external, from employees, applicants, and supervisors. Registers vacancies with S.C. Department of Employment Workforce. Maintains all tracking logs.
Disseminate daily communications to DMV employees. Prepare hiring folders to include labelling, job posting, PAR/PD, and all system generated paperwork, etc.
Processes received applications through external and internal system.
Evaluates applications based on minimum training and experience requirements.
Disseminates interviewing packages to selecting officials. Maintains tracking logs of all applications. Closes out/archives vacancies in the system. File close-out hiring packages.
Coordinates and manages the continuous posting and generic posting process.
These processes includes posting, disseminating, communications, following up, updating, logging, reposting, reconciling and closing out. Disseminates applications of both processes on a determined basis and/or upon request from managers.
Reconciles received applications and as to vacancies and disseminates applications to hiring managers. Reconciles selectees as to postings and disseminates final rosters/communications to hiring managers.
Assists in New Employee Orientation coordinating the on-boarding process to include greeting all new employees upon their arrival at the agency and ensuring they get to the proper training site or to their assigned work areas.

Assists in maintaining all E&R logs.
Assists in the Temporary Employment Process.
Performs other duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements A high school diploma and administrative experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience. Additional Requirements
Knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management. Knowledge of recruiting and employment policies and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to make and communicate decisions. Ability to analyze data and present ideas effectively.
Employee works under direct supervision of the HR Manager with day-to-day guidance. Discretion is allowed in making decisions in areas that are routine and well defined. Situations involving special circumstances must be referred to the HR Manager.
Must be able to work in a busy office environment where processing volume and meeting deadlines are required.
