THE OPPORTUNITY

We are searching for a dedicated Accounting Manager or Controller who will be responsible for all facet of accounting including cost accounting, GL, financial statements and reports as well as one-off projects on an ad-hoc basis. This role will be working directly with the CFO to support the company's accounting processes, as well as our company's recent NetSuite migration.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Hands-on accounting activities, performing a comprehensive and accurate month-end close, leading the monthly review of actual performance vs budget, and identifying the drivers for major variances.
• Play a key role in Company’s financials. You will own the P&L and the Balance Sheet Accounts.
• Netsuite- Work with our NetSuite Admin to configure and set up consolidation and elimination processes using industry best practice methodology to increase automation and efficiency.
• Ensure that all appropriate financial and business control processes are in place and effective.
• Prepare and maintains supporting documentation, general ledger, financial statements, balance sheet analysis, journal entries, revenue recognition, and other supporting schedules and calculations.
• Preparation of year-end reporting and close; maintain the Chart of Accounts
• Track deadlines for the timely payments of all debt, real estate taxes, insurance, distributions, and other time-sensitive payments
• Prepare materials for internal and external reporting.
• Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff
• Coordination of internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Partner with CFO on implementing initiatives and ad hoc projects.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• BS in Accounting or Finance
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience in a public or private company
• Cost Accounting experience a plus
• GL accounting experience including preparation of journal entries and performing period-end close procedures and balance sheet reconciliations.
• 2 years of NetSuite ERP experience
• Experienced with finance and revenue accounting.
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP and complete understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen and the ability to present to senior management.
• Experience with internal controls and process improvement, revenue recognition
• Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
• Knowledge of financial systems, analysis methodologies, and technical standards applicable to corporate accounting and finance
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment under strict deadlines.

PAY TRANSPARENCYThe starting salary rate range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 DOE.
