Silco Fire & Security is Hiring an Operations Manager (Kitchen Suppression/Fire Extinguisher) Near Columbus, OH
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of technicians and support staff involved in kitchen suppression system operations and fire extinguisher services. This includes Kitchen Suppression, Fire Extinguisher, and Shop Technicians.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high levels of performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s market share in kitchen and fire extinguisher services.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of system installations, inspections, and maintenance projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary constraints.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire safety codes, regulations, and standards.
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain the highest standards of service quality and safety.
- Customer Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering positive relationships.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional service delivery.
- Resource Management:
- Manage inventory levels, equipment, and resources effectively to support operational requirements and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational processes, enhance efficiency, and streamline workflows.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to incorporate into operations where applicable.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire protection industry, with a focus on kitchen suppression systems and fire extinguishers.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of success in operations management, project management, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards (NFPA)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software applications.
