How you make a difference

The Human Resources Manager role entails overseeing all aspects of a company's human resources program, from policies and procedures to staff development and training. The job demands sound judgment and leadership skills to ensure policies and directives have a positive impact on the company's administration and workforce. Communication skills are also essential, as the Human Resources Manager must communicate effectively with employees, management, and other stakeholders both verbally and in writing. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages and directs the Human Resources Department to achieve the hospital's mission and initiatives. 
  • Develops and implements procedures for efficient and accessible human resources management in compliance with federal, state, corporate, and TJC policies and procedures. 
  • Oversees staff development and training, recruitment and retention activities, employee safety, and Code of Conduct training in adherence to TJC standards and corporate policies. 
  • Conducts on-site visits to promote Human Resources assistance and availability to all hospital staff. 
  • Maintains personnel and payroll records in accordance with TJC standards and corporate policies, including required background checks. 

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.

Experience

  • Five years of experience in a responsible Human Resources/Personnel position in the private sector or a private/public sector, partnership, or healthcare setting. Three years supervisory experience required.
