Primary Residential Branding is Hiring a Human Resources Assistant Near Salt Lake, UT

Position purpose - Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of basic administrative duties including typing, filing, scanning, researching documents, and other basic functions related to supporting the HR team. Functions and responsibilities include communications between the business and employees from an HR perspective, maintaining confidentiality, accurate and efficient data-entry, performing file audits, and assisting with various HR related projects.

Duties include:

  • Assist the Hiring team with new hires as needed
  • Support the Hiring team by conducting reference calls
  • Provide desk set-up for corporate new hires
  • Create ID badges for corporate new hires and replacement badges for existing employees
  • Process Unemployment claims and schedule hearings
  • Assist Benefit team with New Hire benefit enrollments
  • Provide FMLA guidance, support, and documentation for assigned regional area
  • Support the HR team with data-entry related to pertinent personnel information
  • Maintain electronic and hardcopy personnel records
  • Ensure proper documentation is correctly filed within personnel records
  • Performs audits to ensure completeness of files
  • Formulate basic queries and reports as requested
  • Make photocopies, fax documents, and perform other clerical functions as needed
  • Provide support to the HR team as a whole
  • Assist in coordinating HR events and functions
  • Prepare correspondence as requested
  • Direct inquiries via emails, calls and tickets to appropriate team members
  • Processes mail
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, dealing with frequent changes or requests
  • Accurate and consistent data-entry capabilities
  • An ability to follow instruction and respond to direction with ease and accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrating thoroughness
  • Dependability as others on the team rely on this individual to assist in support functions
    • A positive customer-service attitude
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Professional communication skills, both written and oral, to ensure an understanding of expectations needed to support the HR team
    • Trustworthiness, confidentiality, and the ability to maintain complete and accurate personnel records

    Preferences

    • One to three years of administrative experience
    • Organization skills
    • Ability to manage multiple functions
    • Ability to handle stress with changing priorities
    • A basic knowledge of Human Resources functions

    Work Requirements

    Each employee must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, utilize a computer, maintain a work schedule, and effectively perform in an office setting. To maintain and ensure secure privacy of borrower (and other protected) information, an essential function of this job may require physical attendance in a defined office space. (i.e. branch or corporate office location). Employment with PRMI requires compliance with and adherence to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations as well as PRMI policies. The ability to work extended hours may be required.
