The Business Intelligence team at Sparrow is committed to delivering accurate insights and supporting Sparrow through process automation, customized reporting, and creative problem-solving. About The Role

This position involves developing data pipelines and ensuring data quality in support of Sparrow’s objectives. The primary duties of this position include maintaining and validating data that will be provided to external partners, optimizing processes that extract information from data, and serving as a bridge between the data and the business. An individual in this role should have a passion for using data and analytics to solve real problems.

This person will report to the Manager of Business Intelligence.

In This Role, You Will

• Own end-to-end processes that report consumer data to external partners
• Leverage BI reporting tools, like Tableau and Superset, to empower end users with actionable insights
• Monitor key performance indicators and analytical processes to ensure relevance and accuracy of insights provided 
• Collaborate with the entire organization to create data resources for internal users
• Develop creative data solutions to unique challenges
• Maintain a positive, goal-oriented, and engaging culture
• As a member of a dynamic, fast-growing start-up, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute on a wide variety of other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in data analytics
• Expert in common Excel functions
• Skilled in data processing, including analysis of big data using SQL
• Understanding of Python preferred
• An analytical mindset and knack for finding patterns in data
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• An eye for detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required; tech savvy, and able to quickly learn and navigate different software systems
