Description

The primary responsibility of the Senior Operations Analyst is to proactively realize business needs, capture, analyze, and document the requirements and deliver the requirements to the Director of Analytics and other managers. The Senior Business Operations Analyst will lead analysis, gather essential data, and compile reports that managers and directors can use.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

• Reviews analytical reports and works cooperatively with department leads to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Presents data driven analyses with recommendations to key executives using a flexible set of communication tools to reach different audiences.
• Responsive to flexible business needs with timely, accurate, and relevant ad hoc analyses with minimal supervision.
• Manages multiple projects effectively and proactively communicates shifting priorities and timelines.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and drafts proposals for new tools and projects.
• Partners with stakeholders to implement and track new initiatives and processes.
• Documents recurring and ad hoc processes though SOPs, comments in code and queries, saved queries, etc.
• Maintains a high standard of trust and an open line of communication with managers across verticals.
• Ability to tie operational KPI and analyses to financial reports both in retrospective and forward-looking applications.
• Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
• Regular attendance on all scheduled shifts is an essential function of the job.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills, Education & Other Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a collaborative setting.
• Ability to present findings to senior management.
• Possess a strong degree of initiative and self-motivation.
• Experience with querying and interpreting data through a variety of sources (Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Fusion, Excel, Tableau).
• Three to five years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics/analytics/business administration or related area preferred.
• Casino or hospitality experience preferred, financial experience a plus.
