Oak View Group is Hiring a HR Coordinator Near New York, NY

Overview

The HR Coordinator provides general Human Resources support to the OVG30 People Operations and the front line to the employee base for HR inquiries. This role is specifically focused on all human resources procedures and assists with tasks throughout all areas of the HR department in support of all OVG business units. In addition to supporting the new account onboarding, the HR Coordinator assists employees through various human resource processes, answering any questions they may have about policies, procedures and systems.

This role will pay a salary of $60,000 to $75,000.

For FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).

Responsibilities

  • First line response to employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, policy and process.
  • Support Onboarding for New Accounts (while new hires for existing open roles supported by the Corp Office onboarding team-this team supports New Accounts). Including:
    • New account research (prepare New Account Transition plan document)
    • Posting roles in iCIMS, prep job fairs and submitting offer letter requests
    • Prep Welcome and Orientation PowerPoints
  • Answer general employee queries regarding pay and benefits
  • Generates PAF’s for data corrections that are required in the ADP database; escalates further if necessary
  • Update internal databases with new hire information
  • Monitor Navex, voicemail, and HR email boxes: forward accordingly
  • Unemployment Comp and Verification of Employment responses as needed
  • Supports tracking and distribution for compliance items (Federal and State labor laws/regulations, policies, guidelines, processes, and system protocols.)
  • Update intranet with policies and announcements
  • Support Legal with employee file requests
  • Special projects as assigned by People Operations team-TA, L&D, HRBP
  • Maintain Field and Corp HR contact lists
  • New Hire Orientation scheduling and updating presentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration or 3-5 years equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in HR is preferred.
  • Understanding of human resources principles, practices, and regulations is preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations, requiring a high level of ethical conduct, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze situations, and propose effective solutions.
  • Self-starter who can exercise independent judgement and is comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to demonstrate high level of employee collaboration, empathy, morale, and encourage team spirit.
