A flexible part-time (minimum 24 hours per week) Human Resources Generalist is needed in our Boston office to perform a wide range of duties for multi-site locations. This position is responsible for the day-to-day HR and benefits and is the main contact for employees at the company. The position helps support the HR team in the administration, processing, and maintenance of benefits systems, payroll processing, or HR-related initiatives. The role also serves as a liaison between the employees and the third-party providers. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the hiring/recruitment process using an Applicant Tracking System
• Coordinate and process new hire documents. Assist with orientations as needed
• Ensure timely processing of HR-related transactions into HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems. Review all changes before processing for payroll or benefits
• Maintain HR-related files including employee, benefit, and payroll files
• Monitor HR records to ensure compliance with legal, tax, and company requirements
• General office duties include filing and scanning documents
• Assist employees with benefit questions and changes
• Create and distribute documents and memos
• Maintain paper and electronic HR files and records
• Ensure time-sensitive information is entered into the payroll system for the correct processing period
• Act as a backup for payroll processing
• Keep accurate records of all changes for each pay period for Management
• Respond to employee pay inquiries in a timely matter

Ability to maintain the confidential nature of human resource work and information 

Tactfulness when communicating with staff

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to type quickly and accurately

Possesses extreme attention to detail

Capability to multi-task and handle matters of urgency 

Experience with Paylocity payroll system a plus

Requirements

5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

MS Office Experience (Excel, Word, Outlook)
