Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, the HR Coordinator position is exposed to all human resources procedures and assists with tasks throughout all areas of the HR department. In addition to recruiting and placing new employees, an HR Coordinator assists with guiding employees through various human resource processes and answering any questions they may have about policies. They will also assist with administering benefits, working with finance and payroll, and handling/escalating any problems or questions. The position also has an active role in ensuring all human resource functions are complying with local, state and federal regulations.
Completing the new hire onboarding processes, including offer letter templates, setting up personnel files, filing job descriptions, coordinating the background check process, collecting new hire paperwork through an onboarding process, setting new hires up in payroll through ADP, scheduling new hires for orientation and benefits enrollment meetings.
Plan new hires onboarding strategies and perform new employees’ orientation to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
Ensures process paperwork and employment records are accurate and up to date in employee electronic and hard file systems.
Maintain spreadsheets/database records on open and filled positions.
Aid in the daily operation of the HR office, including scheduling meetings, coordinating training sessions, performing employee orientations and managing employee information documents.
Support HR compliance activities, i.e., completing compliance reports, ensuring sites have appropriate posters and documentation, etc.
Assist with performance management procedures.
Act as the key contact for “walk-in employment applications”, reviewing the applications, maintain a log, and sharing with the appropriate hiring managers and recruiters, and later checking on the disposition of the walk-in employment application.
Reinforce the company policies, rules, and procedures to ensure employees’ safety.
Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data.
Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
Projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field. Commensurate experience accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Human resources certification (PHR or SPHR) a plus.
1-2 years of experience working in the human resources field.
At least one year of experience involved in administrative tasks such as payroll processing, development of training programs, and employee database management.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to develop interpersonal relationships with employees at all company levels.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws regulating employee relations practices.
Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication/video tools. Human resource information system (HRIS) knowledge
Location of position: Sarasota, FL 34234. Please note this is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, full medical, dental and vision benefits plus more, paid time off, holidays.
