LIGHTSHARE BEHAVIORAL WELLNESS & RECOVERY is Hiring a Lightshare Intern Near Sarasota, FL

 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of healthcare administration, patient care, and/or clinical research (depending on the internship's specific focus). Under the supervision of experienced professionals, you will contribute to important projects, assist with day-to-day operations, and learn about the intricacies of the behavioral healthcare industry. This position is temporary, with a typical duration of 3 to 6 months.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in healthcare administration, nursing, pre-medical studies, public health, or a related field.Strong academic performance with a demonstrated interest in healthcare.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Assist with Administrative Tasks: Support various administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing correspondence.

  • Patient Care Support:Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care, which may include taking vital signs, preparing examination rooms, and assisting with procedures. Depending on internship, licensure, and appropriate credentials, interns may provide direct or indirect services.

  • Research Assistance: Contribute to ongoing research projects by collecting and analyzing data, literature reviews, and preparing reports under the guidance of research staff.

  • Quality Improvement Initiatives:Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and operational efficiency within the healthcare setting.

  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals from different disciplines to gain a comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary teamwork in healthcare delivery.

  • Professional Development: Attend educational sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the healthcare field.

  • Adherence to Policies and Regulations: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and organizational policies at all times.

  • Maintains inter-andintradepartmentalworkflowbyfosteringaspiritofcooperation.
