About the Job

As a financial analyst at Ketchum, you will be working side by side with our finance managers in supporting our client facing teams on their commercial activities. You will be responsible for performing everything from client and industry budget reconciliations to variance analysis, as well as ensuring we are properly billing and collecting our receivables. You will help our client leads manage their expenses, client profitability, utilization, realization, income forecasting and capacity planning.

As a financial analyst at Ketchum, you will learn how agencies make money and how finance members can help drive growth in the business, improve margins and find operational efficiencies. You will learn to analyze, price and review scopes of work, create rate cards, and hold our business leaders accountable for their goals and objectives. Because we strive to continually improve financial management within the organization, you will also serve as a systems expert and aid in improvement and development of financial processes and procedures.

In order to be successful as a financial analyst you will need to be a smart, driven individual who not only understands finance and accounting, but also has business acumen. You will have to bring strong people skills and the ability to speak with more senior client directors and other senior leaders. We are looking for individuals who are relentlessly curious- who love learning, regardless of topic-who question the way things are being done when they feel “more difficult than they should.” All in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role; experience in agency or professional service industry, preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred: Outlook, Excel, Teams
• Budget reporting and analysis experience
• Team player who can effectively interact with all levels within the organization with a service-oriented focus
• Possess strong work ethic and solutions-oriented
• Performs well in a fast-paced environment
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred
