POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting and Finance Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting with experience in a manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for preparing budgets, forecasts and monthly business review packages. Additionally, this individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis in support of strategic planning processes and driving overall business performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and financial analysis to provide accurate and timely information to management for decision-making.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, including direct labor, materials, and overhead, to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost of goods sold while looking for ways to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide analytical data for the purpose of financial and business management reviews and/or reporting. 
• Perform various reviews and control checks to ensure the integrity of data input to the ERP system.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in operational efficiency and profitability.
• Develop and implement controls, procedures, and systems to enhance financial reporting accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate capital investment projects and perform ROI related analysis.
• Provide support for budgeting and forecasting processes, including collecting and analyzing data, preparing financial models, and presenting reports.
• Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 5 years of finance and accounting experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics or SAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization software.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and deliver accurate results within tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability; able to make recommendations to remediate issues. 

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting or Finance required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years general accounting experience
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet applications.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Assist in the preparation and review of the monthly financial reports for EHC, VRC, EFO and EBN cost centers.
• Perform reconciliation and balancing of accounting ledgers or files.
• Research issues related to financial results and work with business partners to understand key financial issues and drivers while looking for ways to drive continuous improvement.
• Analyze large volumes of transactional data.
• Perform various reviews and control checks to ensure the integrity of general ledgers.
• Lead projects related to accounting processes or accounting systems.
• Serve as a liaison between Finance and internal/external customers in order to provide solutions to meet Finance and customer needs.
• Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
