In this role, you will not only report directly to the CEO but also play a pivotal role in shaping the financial and operational aspects of our organization.
In this role, we need someone who possesses a self-driven attitude and a strong analytical mindset. Your exceptional problem-solving skills and keen eye for process improvement opportunities will be instrumental in driving our success. As a go-getter with a solid background in finance, and business systems automation, you'll have the freedom to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams and an external CPA firm.
Ready to take charge? Here's what you'll be doing:
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis:
  • Show us your financial wizardry by independently conducting credit analysis and cash flow analysis to assess our financial health and identify potential risks.
  • Prepare a monthly financial reporting package for the partners, analyzing data and communicating insightful variances to support decision-making.
  • Prove your forecasting skills with pro forma analysis and sensitivity analysis to evaluate various scenarios, such as new product launches, market expansions, or cost-saving initiatives.
  • Embrace the challenge of implementing a balanced scorecard framework by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Define relevant financial and non-financial metrics, track performance against strategic goals, and provide insights to enhance organizational performance.
  • Take the reins on expense report and credit card statement reviews, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper expense classification.
  • Be the champion of accounts receivable management, ensuring timely collections and collaborating with stakeholders to keep things running smoothly.
  • Your partnership with the CEO will be crucial in preparing forecasts and budgeting reports for strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Keep our operational efficiency and liquidity in top shape by analyzing and managing working capital.
2. Business Systems Automation:
  • As an entrepreneurial thinker, your continuous improvement mindset will shine as you identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhanced financial reporting capabilities.
  • Define and document key processes within the business independently, finding areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Leverage your knowledge to digitize, streamline, and automate various business functions, reducing manual errors and enhancing efficiency.
  • Proactively evaluate and integrate disparate systems to create a cohesive and efficient business infrastructure.
  • Research and assess potential partners and solutions for business systems automation, keeping us ahead of the curve.
3. Compliance:
  • Your attention to detail will be essential in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies, including federal compliance, state filings, and tax obligations.
  • As an entrepreneur at heart, you'll take the lead in coordinating and managing annual state filings and registrations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Oversee monthly state tax filing and reporting requirements to stay on top of our financial game.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the external CPA firm, providing necessary financial information and ensuring compliance with tax and financial reporting requirements.
4. Business Operations:
  • Your collaborative spirit will shine through as you work with cross-functional teams and the external CPA firm to drive process improvement and optimization projects.
  • Develop and maintain reports and profitability reports, playing a crucial role in performance evaluation.
Job Type: Full Time, In-Office Monday to Thursday, Remote on Fridays.
Qualifications:
  • Entrepreneurial drive with a Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of business systems automation, process improvement, and integration.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and reporting procedures.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
