We are looking for an accountant who is proactive, assertive and can take charge to design, refine, and map out our accouting processes and workflow at Jake's.

As a privately-owned company looking to grow in our accounting effectiveness and efficiency, we need a take-charge, independent and talented accountant to perform our accounting responsibilities, handling multiple activities, and transforming us into a high-functioning team.

Position Responsibilities

Core responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include but not limited to:

• Take charge of existing financial processes by evaluating, recommending, and improvements.

• Be the architect to create and document financial policies and procedures.
• Self-driven to complete our financial close timely and accurately every period.
• Leads the generation of our financial statements, operational reporting, and creation of business intelligence analytics to inform leadership and drive actions.
• Ensures conformity to all accounting, internal control, and tax guidelines.
• Thinking ahead plans and forecasts.
• Proactively engages with human resources to ensure an efficient and accurate payroll.
• Actively engages financial data requests from external parties and determines ways to complete quickly and accurately.
• Engages others effectively with others to meet accounting needs across the company.
• Adapts to ever-changing needs of finance and performs other responsibilities proactively, independently and as assigned.
