National Floor Covering, Inc. (NFC) is a premier provider of interior finishes to the Multifamily new construction industry. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and supporting various accounting functions within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
• Record and classify financial transactions accurately.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
• Participate in internal control processes to safeguard assets and maintain data integrity.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
