Summary/Objective
Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, and preparing financial statements.
Essential Functions
- Prepares combined internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and departments.
- Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data, scheduling required jobs, and verifying data.
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, and verifying information.
- Prepares general ledger entries by keeping records and files, and reconciling accounts.
- Prepares payments by gaining expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; and reconciling accounts.
- Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, and recommending changes.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to a general ledger system; and obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
- Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Aids with response to SOX internal and external audit requests.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Must be able to work independently, prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.
