The Company:

Gajeske is a family-owned master distributor of polyethylene pipe, valves, fittings, fabrications, and an authorized McElroy fusion equipment distributor. For more than 30 years, Gajeske has positioned itself at the forefront of the plastic pipinSg industry, providing services related to fusion, machine rental, field welding, material takeoffs, Safety/OQ training, and general troubleshooting.

The Position:

The OQ & Poly Fusion Trainer will be responsible for teaching Operator Qualifications and Fusion training courses to customers and Gajeske employees while utilizing existing training materials, standard training methods, and knowledge of the products and services offered by the company.

The working hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with some weekends and nights in order to meet customer needs. The position will require 45 hours/week according to the needs of the department and will involve up to 75% short- and long-term travel.

This position will report to the Waxahachie office when not traveling.

Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all training activities and programs to ensure all employees complete Operator Qualification training within required time frames.
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats such as role playing, team exercise, group discussions, videos or lectures.
  • Facilitate traditional classroom safety training.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of training completed and attendance.
  • Price and secure individual travel arrangements for training assignments, including transportation and lodging.
  • Attend meetings or seminars to obtain information for use in training programs or to inform management of training program status.
  • Maintain equipment, inventory for machines, and materials utilized in training courses, as well as standard training forms for courses offered.
  • Contact customers as needed or as requested to gather feedback from services rendered or to determine future training needs.
  • Assist with and provide internal training for Gajeske employees in qualified areas as requested and needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • OSHA Certification a plus.
  • Minimum of five years related experience and/or training required.
  • Experience in the construction, pipeline, or oil and gas industry required.
  • Ability to interact tactfully and respectfully with all levels of management and colleagues internally, as well as with clients and vendors externally.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, tool tracking software, etc. (Microsoft Word and Excel).
